Green Dragon Award

Environment Systems have been awarded Level 2 of the Green Dragon Environmental Standard, confirming our commitment to and responsibility for environmental protection.

The Green Dragon Environmental Standard is a phased approach which recognises effective environmental management.  The standard incorporates the following key principles of environmental management, which include: Continual Environmental Improvement, Compliance with Environmental Legislation, Pollution Prevention and Communication of Environmental Issues.   

Environment Systems maintains and continuously improves its environment management system (EMS) in accordance with the Green Dragon Environmental Standard.  Our environmental policy is based on the fundamental principles of measuring and planning for continual improvement and is the governing document for setting our improvement targets. 

Environment Systems is committed to:

• Promoting environmental management policies and practices throughout the company;
• Increasing awareness of environmental responsibilities among staff;
• Encouraging and facilitating modes of transport by staff which minimises environmental impact;
• Adopting best practice measures to reduce water and energy consumption;
• Minimising landfill waste by encouraging staff to reduce, re-use and recycle;
• Promoting a purchasing policy which will give preference, as far as practicable, to those products and services which cause the least harm to the environment;
• Working with other bodies as appropriate to promote environmental policies;
• Preventing pollution beyond that of our normal activities;
• Continual environmental improvement;
• Complying with relevant environmental legislation.

We will regularly review our activities and management system to ensure it remains up-to-date and effective.
