Scottish Biodiversity Forum Conference - Bringing People and Biodiversity together
Environment Systems is presenting two posters describing recent biodiversity projects at this year's conference at Strathclyde University in Glasgow, August 2010. The posters can be downloaded by following the links below.
The Inventory of terrestrial and freshwater BAP priority habitats and Annex I habitats project has been completed by Environment Systems on behalf of Scottish Natural Heritage. It is the first phase, establishing data coverage across Scotland and highlighting options for filling the gaps. This will lead to a comprehensive resource for reporting on Annex I and BAP priority habitats across Scotland.

Using aerial photography and remote sensing to plan habitat restoration in the Scottish Borders: Development of network and opportunities mapping project follows on from the production of a Phase 1 inventory for the Scottish Borders and Tweed Catchment area by Environment Systems on behalf of the Scottish Borders Council and the Tweed Forum Consortium. Network and opportunity maps have been created in order to fulfil Scottish Borders Councils commitment to enhance biodiversity. They show the location of existing BAP habitats and the best places to target habitat creation and forest planting schemes.
