Environmental Policy

Environment Systems recognises that its activities impact upon the environment both through its routine internal operations and through activities in the wider community. It acknowledges a responsibility for, and a commitment to, protection of the environment at all levels.

Environment Systems is committed to:

• Promoting environmental management policies and practices throughout the company;
• Increasing awareness of environmental responsibilities among staff;
• Minimising waste and pollution and developing and operating environmentally sound waste management procedures;
• Continuing to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and to incorporate long term strategies for energy efficiency into planning and development;
• Encouraging and facilitating modes of transport by staff which minimises environmental impact;
• Reducing water consumption;
• Promoting a purchasing policy which will give preference, as far as practicable, to those products and services which cause the least harm to the environment;
• Working with other bodies as appropriate to promote environmental policies;
• Preventing pollution beyond that of our normal activities;
• Continual environmental improvement;
• Complying with relevant environmental legislation.

We will regular review our activities and management system to ensure it remains up-to-date and effective.
