Aled Rowlands

Aled Rowlands joined the Environment Systems team in October 2006 and although based in the UK, spends much of his time in continental Europe working on GIS consultancy projects.

Aled is also a lecturer in GIS and Remote Sensing at the University of Wales Aberystwyth, where he lectures on advanced topics in GIS to MSc students. He has in excess of eight years of teaching experience and was recently awarded a Teaching Excellence award by the University.

Aled also provides seminars to non-expert groups on topics such as "Big Brother in Space" and is involved in the A level geography system in the UK. Aled holds a BSc Hons (First class) in geography from the University of Wales and a D.Phil. in physics from the University of Sussex.
